Leo

Leo

I am Leo and I am one special guy. I was one of 300 dogs taken from a dog hoarder in Kentucky. Someone started a “rescue” in their home and kept accepting more animals, but didn’t adopt us out. We never had veterinary care and were living right on top of each other. I am really lucky that I made it out of there and now am here at Francisvale waiting for my real home and family.

I get overlooked a lot because I am really shy with new people. I can’t help it. If you lived in a crazy situation for a long time, wouldn’t you be a little weary of new people? Once you get to know me, I’m quite the sweet dog. I love my dear friends with all my heart and I’m a bit of a goof ball. The girls here at the shelter make fun of me(in a loving way of course) all the time because when I run I look funny with my tall bowed legs. I just laugh with them. So what, I’m a bit of a dork!

I’m ok with other animals when I go for walks or around the kennel, but really need to be the only animal in the home. I think I’ve done my share of living with other animals. I also think I’d prefer a home without small kids because I do get a bit nervous with too much commotion.

If you are looking for an extra special guy. I can tell you I’m it! Please give me a second chance at an awesome life.
