Cooper

Cooper

Hello there, my name is Cooper. I’m a pretty self confident cat. I know what I want and I go for it. I think that’s the only way you can get through life successfully. Take the way I got to Francisvale for example.  I had found myself  living outside, hungry and just freezing my little paws off. I thought to myself, this is not how I want to live, so I decided to walk up and down this parking lot and cry as loud as I could. I had to get someone’s attention, right? Well it did! My luck must have been spot on that day because I was crying my tune right in the parking lot of the daycare center where one of the shelter’s staff members takes her child.  You can’t get luckier then that. So she came right up to me and scooped me up. I gave her a polite smile and a little nudge. It took less than 30 seconds and I was in the car heading for her house. I wish I could have stayed there, but her house has reached its quota of animals.

So here I am at Francisvale waiting for the second round of luck to come my way. I just know I will get my own home soon.

I love attention. I can cry a bit if I don’t get enough.  I just don’t like being lonely.  I’m also very playful.  I admit I can get a little bit out of hand when I am in the midst of a game of string tug”o’ war and get a little nippy, but once I realize it’s just a game, I cool off.

I hate dogs. Just want to make that clear. I encountered way too many of those mangy beasts during my days out on the street. No thank you.  I’m o.k with cats, but if one has too big of a personality and tries to pull one over on me, well they soon find out they have messed with the wrong cat. I’ve had to take care of myself for a while now and so I don’t take to getting bullied.

I probably would do best with older children just because I can get a little too excited during play time.

I hope you come and meet me soon. We would have a great life together.
